We have been blessed with the opportunity to do some renovation and remodeling of our church. On Sunday, May 16th, we began by pulling the carpet and pews out of the auditorium. We donated the pews, organ and communion table to an organization that is building a church in Mexico. Here are some of the pictures of the first day of renovation.
Here is the accomplishment on Saturday, May 22, 2021:
Rebuilding the platform and sheet rocking the walls (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, June 1-3, 2021):
On Saturday, June 5, 2021, the electrical boxes were run on the platform, doors were sanded and general cleanup!
Monday, June 7, 2021 the platform was completed and the wall sanded.
Wednesday, 6-30-21 A lot has happened since the last post. All of the walls, pillars and beams have been painted (sanctuary, foyer and refreshment room). What's left is painting of the doors, door casing, window casing, changing bulletin board color and carpet. Here is what it looks like today:
Saturday, 7-3-21 Today more of the electrical was run and the door casing, window casing, etc. was painted.
July 28, 2021 - Here are pictures of the completed carpet and our ONE chair!
8-21-21 A lot has happened in the past few weeks. Here are come pictures taken today. Notice that it was a "hair raising" experience for Tamra!
The gold is gone! :) The tile has been laid in the refreshment room, just needs to be grouted and sealed. Now what's left is hanging some of the trim around the bulletin boards, door ways, windows and installing the doors. Tile will be laid in the flower room and each doorway going to the outside. There is still pulling of wiring to accommodate the new sound system and new video system. We are still waiting on the chairs. We are hoping to have our first service in the new sanctuary on Sunday, September 19th!
Saturday, September 4th: All of the doors are hung, the cross is hung on the front wall, the chairs arrived and are all unpacked, the two video projects have been installed, the refreshment room has been completed with base (just need to install shelfing) touch up paint and basic cleaning. We still need to do some of the trim (around windows and some of the doors) plus still working on wires for video and audio.
