Junior Camp this year was on Monday, July 1st through Thursday, July 4th.  The theme was "I Have Decided" from Daniel.

We had a total of 7 boys and 9 girls, plus 5 counselors go to camp this year!  July 1st - Here are picture of us getting ready to leave for camp:

DAY 1 Monday, July 1st - On our way to camp, we stopped off at Wendy's in Anthem for lunch:

On the way to camp, it started raining, but never rained at camp all week!  It was just hot and humid.

When we arrived at camp, the girls chose which bed they wanted and we got settled in our dorms.  There are no pictures of the boys, because the counselors apparently didn't take pictures:

Hanging out!  Checking out the camp grounds.  Free time before dinner!

Dinner time (we had chicken, salad, vegetables, mashed potatoes and gravy).  The dessert was cookies!  There was also a salad bar available at every meal!

Evening Chapel with Pastor John Roy "Dare to be a Daniel" from Daniel Chapter 1 (there was singing and games before the message):

The camp was divided into four teams: red, yellow, blue and green.  We were the blue team.   There were also after chapel games, which went towards the team points.  We won this game for the blue team.  This game they had to take a hockey stick and move balls down the gym and back (sorry some pictures are blurry - they were running so fast I couldn't keep up with them):

DAY 2  Tuesday, July 2nd - Breakfast (eggs, ham, pancakes - salad bar which included fruit and cereal):

After breakfast we had morning chapel with Pastor Miles from Daniel 2 "I have decided to Pray - the World does not have the answers."  I only got one picture of the before message games.  Here are the after chapel games.  They had to bat a balloon with a noodle across the gym (once again some blurry pictures).  Not too sure who won this game:

After chapel we went on a long, long, hot hike.  Not many pictures of the actual hike.  I (Barb Hannah) fell and hurt my leg and arm.  The nurse came and bandaged me up. :(

After the hike we were supposed do waterslides.  The person who was to blow up the slides, was on a hike with another group, so they provided ice cream.  Even Shane scooped the ice cream!

The waterslides are ready!

After waterslides, there was free time.  The girls liked to spend free time in the dorm, while the boys liked to be outside.  This was Addison's birthday, so the girls blew up balloons:

Lunch time (corndogs, french fries, and the salad bar is always open):

After lunch there was free time.  The girls did some crafts making geckos (of course in the dorm):

After free time there was dinner (chicken parmesan, noodles, vegetables).  Dessert was chocolate cake!  Several went back for seconds:

Time for evening chapel with Pastor John Roy "I have decided to choose to Stand for God" from Daniel Chapter 3:

Games after chapel.  The counselors hid balloons all over the campground and the kids had to go out with flashlights and find them.  They got 10 points for their color of balloons, 5 points for any color; 1 point for broken balloons and there were 2 large black balloons that were worth 100 points:

In the evening, the girls took their showers and worked on their scrapbooking:

DAY 3 Wednesday, July 3rd - Breakfast (eggs, turkey sausage, cinnamon rolls):

After breakfast, we had morning chapel with Pastor Miles "I have decided to Obey" from Daniel Chapter 4:

Then we had field games outside.  Shane volunteered to help run the field games (winners received points for their team - we lost to red team):

After the field games, we played dodgeball in the gym (winners received points for their team - we won!):

Then it was lunch time (hot dogs, chips, baked beans):

After lunch there was waterslide time:

Then there was free time (The girls stayed in the dorm and did some singing and had some light up retainers).  The boys played outside:

We decided to take a "short" hike to a bridge and have a picture taken of our entire group from North Village.

After free time it was dinner time (BBQ spare ribs, coleslaw, vegetables and s'mores for dessert):

Evening chapel with Pastor John Roy "I have decided to be faithful" from Daniel Chapter 6 and after chapel games.  There was a contest between the girls and the boys each evening.  Questions would be asked about the previous chapel.  The girls won the contest between the boys and girls and got candy tossed to them!  The blue team did not win, the yellow team did, but we were a close second.

After the evening games, we had ice cream to end the evening:

DAY 4  Thursday, July 4th - The girls sleeping.  Everyone was exhausted after a fun-filled week and staying up late every night and getting up early every morning.

And now barely waking up!

Packing to go home!

Breakfast (eggs, french toast, sausage links).  Even Steve Jelmberg (one of the van drivers) enjoyed a little breakfast):

Girl's drive home!  They started out singing and ended up falling asleep! :)
