A History of North Village Baptist Church

North Village Baptist Church was formerly Alice Avenue Baptist Church.  AABC was started in 1963 by the Akron Baptist Temple of Akron, Ohio.  The church was formed as a Baptist Bible Fellowship Church, which is an association of churches who cooperate to support missionaries and who work together in ministry.  AABC withdrew from the BBF in 1985, but continues to support many BBF missionaries.  In 1996, the church changed its name to North Village Baptist Church to identify with our community.  We are a Baptist church.
