2013 Zambia

Zambia 2013 - Six people headed to Zambia on August 10. Jon Ostrus led the team made up of Taureta Shaffer, Duane & Sandy Oplinger and Kenny & Annette Shadday. The following video is a summation of what the Crossing Missions team experienced and accomplished.

The team spent ten day in Zambia ministering to Excellence Christian Academy. They served along side Tim and Ashley Keller, ITMI missionaries in Kabwe. Kenny and Jon helped to build restrooms for the girls and boys of the school. Sandy, Annette and Taureta conducted a Vacation Bible School with the children who attended each day. Approximately seventy children attended the classes. Duane taught a Crown Financial Seminar to pastors from the area. The team also ministered at the Deaf House to the children and adults alike.

The Crossing Missions team then went the Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia to participate in a "feeding." Jon Jere, also a part of the ITMI team, ministers to orphans in the Lusaka Townships. The team had a part in feed 300+ orphans and also providing clothing to those in need.

As part of the Crossing Mission team activities, a side trip is included. This trip was to Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world. The team flew to and from Lusaka to Livingston and were in awe of God's beautiful creation. The team also had the opportunity to go on a Safari in the game park, which included White Rhinos.

Back in Lusaka the team stayed at Eureka Game Park for the Africa experience. Kenny and Annette Shadday put together the following video presentation. This is the tenth year of such trips conducted by North Village Crossing Missions. We would like to thank everyone who made this trip possible.
